This amazing landscape is actually near the mouth of Kolob Canyon. The giant cliffs are Navajo Sandstone which is a lot of what you see in Zion National Park as well.
This is a picture just before a storm in Pilot Valley, just north of Wendover, the crappiest city I've ever been too. It's in the middle of the desert and not one of the hotels in the whole town had a pool! Oh wait, The KOA campground did, but it was empty.
